"Circle Mirror Transformation" is a play by Annie Baker, centered around drama class students at a community center in Vermont. It opened Off-Broadway in 2009 and received the Obie Award for Best New American Play.

Ava Russo is Lauren, a high school junior with ambitions of becoming an actress enrolled in an "Adult Creative Drama" class. In this scene, she imagines herself ten years into the future, where she reunites with Schultz, a awkward and recently divorced carpenter who also attended the class.
